When we teach mindfulness to kids, we give them the tools they need to build confidence, cope with stress, and manage uncomfortable or challenging moments. In this unique series, we focus on emotional intelligence development. Children learn about feelings, how to identify their feelings, and better understand what causes these feelings. We teach children appropriate ways of dealing with and expressing these emotions through activities, games, stories, conversations, and drawings.
Classes include breathing exercises, yoga poses, games, partner work, meditation and relaxation. Kids and yoga are a perfect match for increasing emotional intelligence. Each class has a theme and exercises are combined into a game to engage the imagination, and develop emotional regulation.
